The Latest Outrage in Egypt
This is the latest outrage from Egypt:
LUXOR, Egypt (AP) — An Egyptian Christian teacher detained over charges of insulting Islam has been released on bail on Tuesday, her lawyer said.
A history and geography teacher in the southern city of Luxor, 24-year-old Dimiana Abdul-Nour paid L.E. 20,000 (almost $3,000 dollars) to be freed pending further investigation, the lawyer, Badawi Abu-Shanab said. The decision comes four days after a judge ordered her detained for 14 days during the investigation.
Parents of a student had accused the teacher of showing contempt to Islam while talking to fourth-graders about religion. Three pupils allegedly complained the teacher showed disgust when she talked about Islam, something the family and lawyer of Abdul-Nour denied.
Egypt is witnessing a surge of blasphemy-related allegations leveled by ultraconservative Islamists against their critics, including the country’s Christians who make up 10 percent of the population.
Christians have long complained of discrimination. Emboldened by Islamist electoral gains since the ouster of president Hosni Mubarak in the 2011 uprising, members of the fundamentalist Salafi movement have recently been linked to a spike of violence against Christians.
This is the kind of society that Islam creates. This is what happens when Muslims become the majority. This is why we should put a dead stop on all Islamic immigration to the US. I’m tired of hearing people demand that we tolerate this religion. I don’t understand why we should tolerate this religion in the US when they don’t tolerate any other religions in their countries. Muslims do not belong in the US. I don’t want to hear any bullcrap about “tolerance”. Talk to them about tolerance.
Also why aren’t all these “activists” boycotting Egypt? I want to know why all these left wingers are all indignant about Israel for supposed human rights violations, yet they turn a blind eye to Egypt? I don’t want to hear any crap about Israel being worse because that is not bone out by reality. This kind of crap doesn’t happen in Israel. I want to know where is the boycott on Egypt? Where is it? What groups are rallying for better treatment of religious minorities, ethnic minorities, and freedom of speech in Egpyt?
Even if she talked about Islam in a negative tone, so what? What reason is there for Christians, or any other religion, to have a positive view of Islam? Islam has decimated the Egyptian civilization, the Christians in Egypt are all that is let of that, and the persecution against them is NON-STOP. Why should Egyptian Christians feel warm fuzzies over Islam? Why should anyone for that matter? Why should we want to live in the kind of societies that Muslims build?
Well, I’m not in Egypt so I will talk about that savage death cult openly. Islam is false savage death cult, which is more genocidal and toxic than Nazism. Muhammad wasn’t a prophet, and he was not any sort of role model or ideal man. He was an ignorant child molesting desert bandit, who seriously thought that the sun set in puddle of muddy water. If anything he belongs in the same category with Ariel Castro and his brothers.

In the recent news, Saudi Arabia condemned two Christians to prison for their participation in a Saudi woman’s conversion to Christianity.
The teacher was clearly disgusted with by the sorry mental condition of her Islamic student snot noses, not their religion.
And like all snot noses, they will game the system if given the chance.
I say JAIL THE SNOT NOSES!
We should round up all the Muslims, put um in camps, give um a bar of soap and turn on the gas!!!
@tendollar4ways - Or maybe stop pretending that muslims generally are just people yearning to be free of colonial powers like the U.S. Maybe we should stop pretending that Islam is mostly a religion of peace. Outside of western countries that doesn’t seem to be the case–which leaves us mostly with other muslim countries which condone the persecution of people of other religions by muslims (Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, Indonesia, etc.).
Oh, “going Commando” comes from a joke by Joey in the show “Friends” where he gets the idiom wrong. The original idiom was “going Comanche.” Shows that a lot of people are as dumb as the character Joey was supposed to be.
@soccerdadforlife - You guys are just jealous. You guys would pull the same exact crap here if you could get away with it.
@tendollar4ways - Hardly. Maybe you atheists would imprison people for believing in God if you could get away with it. Oh wait, Stalin, Castro, and Mao did that already.
@soccerdadforlife - Yes, Atheists did that. Catholics burned Protestants at the stake and vice versa. Humans will do just about anything to fellow humans won’t they.
No person should ever go to prison for insulting another religion. That is so fucking absurd.
@tendollar4ways - You guys already did that with black people. They are the concentration camps that you liberals loving call “The projects.”
@tendollar4ways - Catholics and Protestants did that back before John Locke had written about political/religious tolerance. Atheists did it after Locke. Really, it was part of the socialist program to eradicate all branches of the Christian Church. It was a socialist thing, not strictly an atheist thing. That’s a better argument than yours. To counter, atheist ethics didn’t limit their actions (nor did Lockean ethics). And an argument could be made that burning people at the stake over religion is prohibited by Christian ethics, so the people who burned others at the stake were in violation of the ethics of their religion.
@ImNotUglyIJustNeedLove - Aren’t the projects just reservations for minorities?
Yeah, christians have never persecuted non-christians… for two thousand years.
@soccerdadforlife - And your Boy’s actions lead to the deaths of many hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and thousands of Americans.
Many Christians cheered this on…..and still do….so much for Xtian ethics.
@soccerdadforlife - Reservations are huge tracts of land given to Native American tribes after they were conquered in war.
The ghettos and projects are akin to the NAZI ghettos and concentrations camps. The ones created by the Democrats have the same purpose: get the riff raff out of mainstream, white society and isolate it far, far away.
@tendollar4ways - My boy? I’ve criticized Bush heavily on many occasions. I’m hardly a fan. Nevertheless, for political reasons I saw the invasion of Iraq as a just war of sorts. Hussein allowed camps to exist where terrorists were trained and he encouraged terrorism against Israel. I didn’t exactly cheer, but neither did I condemn the war in Iraq. Was it worth the cost? Maybe not. Hussein would probably have contained Iran’s threat. Was Hussein a big threat against Israel? Maybe not, but his support for terrorist training was a generally bad thing that it would have been good to stop. Its negative effects weren’t limited to Israel and the terrorist groups tend to all support one another. Hussein was almost certainly helping al Qaeda, tho perhaps indirectly.
@ImNotUglyIJustNeedLove - It seems to me that the projects have their own gang government like Indians do on their own reservations. Not sure what the size of the reservation has to do with anything. Actually, the projects were created by a Nixon program. Nixon was a liberal republican.
Have you all seen the latest ProPublica scandal where the IRS gave the progressive-leaning investigative journalism group ProPublica information on conservative groups whose status was pending? ProPublica came out with this itself.
@tendollar4ways - Never happened in the history of the US. Stop being a fool.
@ImNotUglyIJustNeedLove - I haven’t heard that before but it makes sense. Yes kids are opportunists, if they can jack over the teacher for personal gain then they will.
@soccerdadforlife - Haven’t heard that before but it doesn’t surprise me. I take it they seized foreign nationals?
@agnophilo - Stop making excuses for them. Try being an atheist in a Muslim country and smack talking them the way you smack talk us. Then you really will look like he picture you are using for your avatar.
@ImNotUglyIJustNeedLove - well said.
@soccerdadforlife - Haha, does this have to do with the IRS going after the Tea Party and other conservative groups?
@Facetiouseloquence - That’s right, freedom of speech is more important than protecting anyone’s feelings. Liberals and Muslims are two sides of the same coin.
@Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex - Regarding ProPublica, I heard this first on Rush’s show, then Drudge linked it. Basically, some Obama-ites in the IRS acted as spies for some progressive (aka “liberal”) journalists. ProPublica published redacted info about conservative organizations that they received from the IRS.
@Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex - http://global.christianpost.com/news/saudi-arabia-sentences-men-to-lashings-prison-for-converting-woman-to-christianity-95763/
The article has some more interesting info about the religion of peace:
“Reuters noted that Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah has been pushing for some religious reform since coming to the throne in 2005, and opened a center for religious dialogue in Vienna last year.
Hostile rhetoric against Christianity is still predominant in the Western Asian country, however. Last year, Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Asheikh, who is the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia and the highest official of religious law in the Sunni country, said that it is “necessary to destroy all the churches” in the region.
His comments came during a meeting when Kuwait, another heavily Muslim country, was debating on legislation that proposed removing Christian churches and imposing Islamic law on the nation. Unlike in Saudi Arabia, Christians and other religions in Kuwait are currently allowed to build places of worship and gather in public for ceremonies.”
The senior religious leader in Saudi Arabia is clearly intolerant of/hostile towards other religions, advocating destroying all churches in the Middle East. Is that peaceful?
@Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex - http://www.smithsonianmag.com/history-archaeology/Americas-True-History-of-Religious-Tolerance.htm YA is da fool. BTW….did you see the DOD’s response to your hysterical nonsense that if you mention the word Jesus you will be court martialed? Ya is a fool
I tire of you and @soccerdadforlife - and @ImNotUglyIJustNeedLove - proclaiming the triumph Xtianity with America as the beacon on the hill. America is great, Christianity is a part of America but it isn’t America. We are so much more. You guys act like the stupid muslims with your insistace Christianity is the sole reason for our heights.
One must only look to ALL the countries south of our boarders (which would be considered more Xtian than the us) to see its limitations.
@tendollar4ways - I’ve taken every source you’ve given to me and shown that it was a fraud.
And here you are back with the same old BS.
Liberal wastrels have no shame whatsoever. It’s the always the agenda, truth be damned.
@tendollar4ways - Mexico is despotic because it alway has been, and their culture is still fairly pagan with their Santiria and Dia De Los Muertos. All we need to do is look back in US history to see what would happen if he country were majority Christian. The political left has nothing to do with America. Your entire ideology is based on destruction of western culture. Look into your own history and learn. Modern liberalism started with the Frankfurt school, which created “Critical Theory.” Guess what Critical Theory is? It’s the criticism/deconstruction of western civilization.
@tendollar4ways - If you are so sick of us then stop coming to our pages. I didn’t ask you to come here, and I doubt they did either.
@tendollar4ways - Where did anybody say that Christianity is the sole reason for America’s greatness? You’re making stuff up (a little euphemism here).
As to the main political difference between the U.S. and the mostly Indian population south of our borders, maybe it has something to do with the political (Lockean) philosophy of the U.S. founders. The U.S. is also far more Protestant than the countries south of our borders and our nation’s founders were predominantly Protestant. Locke’s philosophy was created in predominantly Protestant England.
Which of those differences appeals to you as the best explanation and why?
Oh, I should also point out that leftist intellectuals are all over the countries south of the border like flies on shit. And I’d bet that a fair percentage of those intellectuals are atheists.
@Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex - You can always block me and you can listen to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.
@tendollar4ways - Do you want me to block you? If you ask nicely then maybe I will.
@Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex - Up to you.
@soccerdadforlife - I was about to commend you as not being the myopic jackass as the other two Wingnuts here but then you went into rascism and blamed atheism??
You guys would be hilarious if you weren’t so destructive to everyone else.
@tendollar4ways - Well you keep saying that we are annoying, but you cannot truly find us annoying or you would stop coming to our pages. If we distress you so much, all you have to do is not come to our pages. If you are going to insist on coming here then you have no grounds for complaining about our pages distressing you. Leftist logic…
How is he racist?
No no, it is you who follows an ideology based upon the destruction of our culture and economic systems, and I don’t find it hilarious, I find it dangerous.
@tendollar4ways - Well, if you weren’t so illiterate, you might have realized my point. I wasn’t blaming anybody. Do you really need me to unpack my point in one-syllable words?
@Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex - I am talking about right wingers in general. If I didn’t come here, I would run into Sean Hannity, Fat Limbaugh etc etc
@soccerdadforlife - As I said….was gonna give you kuddos until ya went busting up the Tonto’s and Mackeral Snappers.
@tendollar4ways - You will run into them either way, but you can only see me if you choose to.
Also, I am still waiting for your answer as to what part of Soccardad’s comment was racist. If you are going to level personal accusations against someone it helps to back them up with evidence.
@tendollar4ways - Mexico declared Christianity illegal almost a century ago. Where have you been?
@tendollar4ways - Let me write in short words for you. Please do not blame me if I have to use longer (oops) words. I was showing that the differences between the U. S. and south of the border that could be used to explain the difference in outcomes/economic success could be other than the one you selected. Your choice for explaining the differences appears to me to be merely convenient for your ideological purpose. Otoh, your example also seems to be factually deficient, since so many of the south-of-the-border types seem to not be especially religious.
@soccerdadforlife - Talk about iliterate…Colombia is 1.9 % non-religious? Mexico is 6% . Brazil 8%
Your point?
@soccerdadforlife - I think you used too many big words.
@ImNotUglyIJustNeedLove - I heard about that, and I also heard they killed a lot of people. Is it true?
@tendollar4ways - In the U.S., atheists and agnostics run about 1.6%, which is far less than south of the border.
And you said, “One must only look to ALL the countries south of our boarders (which would be considered more Xtian than the us) to see its limitations.”
Hence, once could also say that “One must only look to ALL the countries south of our boarders (which would be considered more atheist/agnostic than the us) to see its limitations.”
One could make a lot of similar statements like, “One must only look to ALL the countries south of our boarders (which would be considered more dark-skinned than the us) to see its limitations.”
Of course, that is politically incorrect.
It would be an error to say, “One must only look to ALL the countries south of our boarders (which would be considered more Protestant than the us) to see its limitations.”
I provided several examples to show that you merely provided a correlation. With my last example I showed a negative correlation.
