  • Making Rules

I’m thinking about making rules for posting on my page, just toying with the idea.  I don’t mind insults/personal attacks, and I don’t mind anyone disagreeing with me or trying to refute me.  I do mind when people deliberately obfuscate.  I have an IQ of 135, so I can usually tell obfuscation when I see it.  I find it insulting, and wasteful of my time, but since I’m a little OCD I have a hard time just letting comments go that people leave on my page.  I don’t want to be snarky either, but that is my natural reaction to obfuscation.  I could use the block function but that looks weak, and I prefer to use that for spammers and spoofers, not serious people even if the serious people are trolls.

    I am open to suggestions.

  • My quoting of Scripture on your race mixing post could have been seen as obfuscation….but I felt like it was the best way to make my point.

It too is kinda fun being a prick and condemning and feeling all riteous but in the end I was being sarcastic.

  • I don’t think people like @agnophilo and @10way$2stupid are deliberately obfuscating.

They are 100% pure, laboratory produced, specimens of postmodern thinking.

The scary thing is that most Christians think like they do too.

We are witnessing in real time, how a civilization goes down the tubes.

  • @tendollar4ways - This actually wasn’t about you.

  • @ImNotUglyIJustNeedLove - But you know I put so much effort into explaining the obvious, and I go into meticulous details and provide examples, and I get some responses that are just so off the wall that I don’t even know how it relates to my comment.  I have been trying to explain to Agnophilo basic things like why we have borders and how wealth is finite.  I break it down as simply as possible and still manage to get a twisted response which LOOKS like my words are being deliberately twisted in order to obscure the point I was making.  Are you thinking that some people really cannot understand basic things, and that no matter what you say and how clear you make it, it still gets twisted in their heads?  Some people just can’t receive and process information in a functional basic human way>?

  • @Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex - A biproduct of postmodernism is ingrained stupidity.

That’s how we can have an absurdity like “gay” marriage reach the Supreme Court.

Or how we can have Democrats elected to office decade after decade.

Or why people passionately believe in global warming even though it is a proven hoax.

Or why people actually think that rich people cause government budget deficits.

Or why people swear by their mommy that tax increases are good for the economy.

  • @ImNotUglyIJustNeedLove - I guess that’s what I get for over-estimating my opponent.

  • @Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex - Postmodernism is producing pod people.

I don’t think there is a way to overestimate the trouble we are all in.

The majority of people who now vote and the majority of people who now serve in government are high IQ blithering idiots.

That means they are geniuses at being stupid and thinking up stupid things for us all to do as a nation, Kumbaya.

  • My IQ is higher than yours, you should probably let me make the rules.

    1) show boobies or cleavage/ or if you’re a guy abs or a bit of butt crack

    2) make them compliment you and every year send you chocolate for your birthday

    3) ban all mentions of communism, Nutella (overrated), Macklemore, and Hitler

  • Your blog, your rules. And you owe no one any explanation either.

Some folks refuse to understand any POV that differs from their own, and nothing you say will have any affect on it unless you say they are right. Sometimes I let them rave on and sometimes I attempt conversation. When they piss me off too far, I block. I have tried to understand how people come to the conclusions they do, but in most cases I don’t think even they know, so it ends up going round in circles. All they know for sure is they are right.

  •  To deliberately annoy someone is malicious..it could also be that they just want to tease you, and they dont really take the time to understand your post..but i always find that it is always good to first be tactful…often people are just frolicking around and dont realize they are pests…it is good to be clear without being too frustrated when telling someone they are doing something wrong….who knows…they could be ocd themselves…

  • @ImNotUglyIJustNeedLove - Do they really have high IQ or are they born to privilege (money and family connections)?

I think that some of them are idiots, while others are actively working to undermine our country as part of a plan for world government.

  • @ShimmerBodyCream - Haha, a little fanservice?  I think that’s the right word.

  • @mtngirlsouth - Yea I think that’s the case.  So basically they are either acting obtuse for rhetorical purposes, which is rude, or they are truly obtuse, which is hopeless.  I have a hard time telling which is which sometimes.

  • @Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex - The concept of a “world government” is an example of high grade, ultra refined, blithering idiocy.

  • @locomotiv - True, true…  Actually I don’t mind ridicule, because I can just skip over those comments or portions of a comment.  I don’t like obfuscation because it just wastes time.  But as I’mnotugly has suggested, many of these people may be genuinely and honestly stupid.

  • @ImNotUglyIJustNeedLove - That is one thing about the Star Trek franchise I diagree with.  They always show world government in a positive light, but in real life WG would be more like 1984 rather than Star Trek.  Actually, it tells us in the Bible what world government would be like.  THat was the whole reason for dividing humanity up at the Tower of Babel, and the reason why things will b so miserable during the end times.

  • @Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex - During the 50′s TV was all about creating an American population of rapacious consumers.

Starting in the 60′s television began programming Americans to become leftists.

Star Trek was a part of the brainwashing.

  • Where did you get your IQ tested?

  • @ImNotUglyIJustNeedLove - I think you are probably right, but I still can’t help liking Star Trek.

  • @Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex - I LOVED Star Trek!  Maybe you noticed.

  • @Celestial_Teapot - I took an online test years ago, and I used to have a link to the results on my page but it looks like the website is down now.

  • @ImNotUglyIJustNeedLove - Yes, the Rigelian Kalar is in your icon.  Is TOS your favorite series?  For me it’s a toss up between TOS and TNG  TNG is what I grew up with.  Voyager was just kind of… meh. Enterprise was OK but it really didn’t pick up until the later seasons, and DS9 was an abject failure.

  • @Ambrosius_Augustus_Rex - You definitely a Trekkie if you can name a Rigelian Kallar.

When I watch Star Trek now, I can’t image what I saw in it.  The characters were all dysfunctional.
